Star Wars: The Acolyte Reveals Origins of Osha and Mae
The birth of Osha Aniseya and her twin sister Mae is associated with Sith Lord Darth Plagueis the Wise, revealing the plotline of The Acolyte.
Episode 3 sheds light on the sisters and explains why their origin isn’t conventional. According to it, Darth Plagueis’ mysterious powers are behind the origin of Osha and Mae, who were thought to have been born to one of Brendock’s Force-using witches.
The episode spends a considerable amount of time on the Witches of Brendok, especially Mother Aniseya. They live in exile with fear and suspicion while trying to keep their activities a secret.
There, we see Osha and Mae being found by the Jedi in the coven compound. This further leads to the coven's destruction, which results in Osha leaving with the Jedi.
The episode tells many things about the twins’ origin but doesn’t reveal anything about their father.
Apart from Osha and Mae, the latest episode debunks long-standing theories about Anakin Skywalker’s birth. Conceived by Shmi Skywalker, the chosen one’s birth has no connection with the Sith Lords.
Star Wars: The Acolyte premiered on June 4 on Disney+.
