Daisy Ridley Is Ready to Wear Rey Costume in Upcoming Star Wars Movie
Daisy Ridley is as excited as Star Wars fans for her comeback in the upcoming Star Wars movie – The New Jedi Order.
While working for smaller films like, 'Young Woman and the Sea,’ and ‘Magpie,' the news was confirmed about her return one year ago at the Star Wars Celebration.
When asked about her decision to return to the franchise, she reveals her feelings about wearing the Rey costume again.
In an interview recently, Ridley said, “Honestly, if I wasn’t excited, I wouldn’t have done it. It feels like a great thing to be a part of.” She says it wasn’t a difficult choice, but she didn't say yes to this role when asked immediately.
Expressing her thrill for the character Rey, she says she wants to figure out what is waiting for her after years of performing as the Rey character. She even feels a significant change after doing her first Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens. Further, she admits her firm emotion of owning the role of Rey more this time.
As for the other characters in The New Jedi Order, details are still under wraps. However, Daisy Ridley is particularly excited to see if John Boyega's character, Finn, will continue his journey in the new movie.
Some rumors suggest that Adam Driver may reappear as Ben Solo. But he denied his involvement. On the other hand, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac showed interest in continuing.
As per reports, the New Jedi Order movie shooting is expected to start on April 7, 2024, in London.
