James Mangold's Upcoming Star Wars Movie Name Revealed By The Acolyte's Producer

Logan director James Mangold's Star Wars movie, which has been a topic of much speculation, now has a new title. The Acolyte’s producer, Simon Emanuel, who has worked closely with Mangold on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, pointed out the movie title as James Mangold's JEDI PRIME during an interview. 

Simon said, “James Mangold's Jedi Prime is set thousands and thousands of years before [the original trilogy], and I'm really excited to see what happens there."

The term ‘Jedi Prime’ derives exciting prospects for the upcoming film. However, his quotes haven’t been officially confirmed or denied the title. The details of the film have been kept secret until now. 

What sets the much-anticipated Star Wars movie apart is its unique timeline. The film, in development under the direction of James Mangold, is set to delve into the Star Wars universe's story a staggering 25,000 years before the prequel trilogy. This makes it the earliest story in the Star Wars timeline among all movies and TV shows, promising a fresh and unprecedented narrative.

Dawn of the Jedi is a pre-production title of the feature, and in an interview, Mangold explains the reason behind the film occurring in a bygone era. He said, “So when I mentioned to Kathy [Kennedy, Lucasfilm president] the idea that I had about going backward – really far backward – I was surprised that it excited her and the other wonderful people she works with at Lucasfilm.”

Pitching his movie as "BEN HUR or THE TEN COMMANDMENTS," James also revealed how the movie centres on the discovery of the Force.
