Star Wars Comics to Answer the ‘What Happens After Return of the Jedi’ Question
Star Wars unveils fresh details on Star Wars: The Battle of Jakku—Insurgency Rising on its official website.
The upcoming first issue of the 2024 canon comic book maxi-series will focus on events around the final battle between the dying Galactic Empire and the New Republic. The battle was earlier alluded to in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where Rey was seen on the desert planet.

The newest Star Wars maxi-series is expected to reveal more exciting details about the titanic final battle, such as the heroic acts of young Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. The Battle of Jakku - Insurgency Rising is also expected to introduce new Imperial faces.
Alex Segura wrote this maxi-series. Leonard Kirk, Jethro Morales, and Stefano Raffaele are the team behind the drawings. Phil Noto is responsible for the cover design.
The first Star Wars: The Battle of Jakku - Insurgency Rising will be released on October 2, 2024.
