Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Sequel Has A Big Challenge to Meet for Bounty Hunters

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Sequel Has A Big Challenge to Meet for Bounty Hunters

Cal Kestis and his friends on the Stinger Mantis ship have had a lot of exciting adventures since they rescued him in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

One group that has been after them more than anyone else is the Haxion Brood, a gang of bounty hunters.

Cal first met them when he and his droid, BD-1, were captured and forced to fight in a dangerous arena run by Sorc Tormo.

Bounty hunters have added a lot of tension to the Star Wars Jedi games, but it’s unclear if the Haxion Brood should return for a third time or if new mercenaries should take their place, especially since Cal might become a bounty hunter himself.

In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the Haxion Brood poses an even bigger threat.

However, this time, Cal has the advantage, and the hunters become the hunted. This sets up an exciting new story for Cal in future games.

Star Wars Jedi Could Take Inspiration From Jango Fett’s Story When Making Cal Kestis, a Bounty Hunter

In Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, players can choose from many optional contracts highlighting “dead or alive.”

This works well in the early levels, like Coruscant, where there aren’t many enemies, allowing players to take their time and use Jango’s special visor to scan characters.

However, as players progress to later levels, things get much tougher. Enemies swarm in and attack from all directions, making it hard to focus on bounty hunting.

Even though it’s challenging, this feature adds depth to the game, making it feel more complex than just a simple shooter.

If players want to capture a bounty alive, they must first scan the target, then use Jango Fett’s whipcord to tie them up, which is very difficult when surrounded by enemies.

It’s even harder to defeat all the other enemies first and save the bounty target for last, especially in the tougher levels.

Still, these ideas would be great for the upcoming Star Wars Jedi game, especially if Cal becomes a real bounty hunter since he already acted like one in Survivor by taking out targets for Caij Vanda.

Star Wars Jedi’s Bounty Hunting is Too Integral to Shelve Now

The Haxion Brood is still a threat, and since Cal has taken down many bounty hunters and droids, it makes sense that Sorc Tormo would be even more determined to hunt him in a third game.

Now that Cal has tried bounty hunting, he might start looking for bounties on his own, even without Caij giving him tips about where to find Brood members.

Survivor hinted that Cal might soon stop using his lightsaber and leave his fighting days behind.

However, as long as the Haxion Brood is after him and the Stinger Mantis crew, Cal might find it hard to escape the bounty-hunting life until he fully resolves that issue.

It would be disappointing if this story arc was just dropped in a third Star Wars Jedi game without any clear ending.
