The Jedi Who Became the Enemy
Born Alek on Quelii, he came of age during a time of galactic war — a Jedi Knight trained by the Order, nicknamed 'Squint' by those who knew him, and driven by a conviction his Masters rarely shared. When the Mandalorians began their campaign of conquest, he and his closest friend Revan refused to stand aside, defying the Council to lead Republic forces into the fight.
Victory at Malachor V should have been the end of it. Instead, Alek and Revan pursued the retreating Mandalorians into the Unknown Regions — and there, beneath the influence of an ancient Sith Emperor, both fell to the dark side. They returned not as Jedi but as Sith Lords, and the war they launched against the Republic became known as the Jedi Civil War.
Alek became Malak — Dark Lord of the Sith, ruler of a Sith Empire waging the Jedi Civil War across the galaxy. The two designs in the Knights of the Old Republic section trace that final chapter: the Xenopixel V3 build for those who want to carry his story, the RGB-X Duelling Lightsaber for those who want to fight with it.
He fell as far as any Jedi could — and met his end at the hands of the friend he betrayed.
Which Darth Malak lightsaber should I buy?
Two designs, one character from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic — a Xenopixel V3 hilt for display and light duelling, an RGB-X build for heavy combat, each suiting a different kind of fan.
Which hilt is which
Both hilts are drawn from Knights of the Old Republic. The Xenopixel V3 design is Malak's saber as Dark Lord — built for display and light duelling. The RGB-X Duelling Lightsaber is the heavy-duelling counterpart, rated for harder use.
Which Saber Core
The RGB-X core is the heavy-duelling choice — a Baselit blade, built tougher, priced lower. The Xenopixel V3 lights the full blade, adds smooth swing and motion-reactive effects, and suits display or light duelling. If you want to clash, take the RGB-X. If you want to inhabit the character, the Xenopixel V3 is Malak's story told in light.
Which suits you
Clash-first? The RGB-X Duelling Lightsaber is the heavy-duelling pick. Display or cosplay? The Xenopixel V3 hilt carries Malak's full visual story — 34 sound fonts, infinite blade colours, a build worth showing. Want to dig into the programming? The Xenopixel V3's Bluetooth connectivity and app control give you that depth.
