Three Kylo Ren designs from one era
The Heir Who Chose Darkness
Ben Solo was a Force-sensitive human born into the Skywalker bloodline — son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, nephew of Luke Skywalker — carrying a legacy that few could match and a connection to the Force that set him apart from the moment it was felt.
The break came when Ben Solo killed the leader of the Knights of Ren and took the name Kylo Ren as his own — an act that was less a choice than a severance, cutting away the boy trained in his uncle's temple and replacing him with something forged entirely in the dark. He then killed his own father, Han Solo, as a Sith trial of ascendancy, and after destroying Supreme Leader Snoke, seized command of the First Order for himself.
Torn between the pull of the light and his conviction that Kylo Ren was his truest self, he ruled the First Order as Supreme Leader — until a Force-bond with Rey and the love of his parents finally broke that conviction. The three designs in this catalogue span the sequel trilogy, The Force Awakens through The Rise of Skywalker, tracing the whole arc.
He never truly belonged to the dark — and in the end, the light remembered his name.
Which Kylo Ren lightsaber should I buy?
Black hilt or battle-worn finish, Xenopixel V3 or Proffie 2.2 — these three crossguard designs suit collectors chasing screen accuracy and duelists who want the SE's heavy-duelling rating.
Which hilt is which
The black-hilt Crossguard and the SE share the same cross-guard silhouette seen across all three sequel films. The Weathered design takes its battle-worn finish from its appearances in the games — LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Star Wars: Battlefront II — giving it a distinctly used look the clean black hilts don't carry.
Which Saber Core
Neopixel cores — Xenopixel V3 and SNV4 PRO — light the full blade, add smooth swing, and suit display and light duelling. The Proffie 2.2 version also runs a Neopixel blade but opens the SE up to full custom programming. The S-RGB baselit core is the heavy-duelling choice: a stronger, simpler build at the lowest price point.
Which suits you
Duelists who want to swing hard should look at the SE's S-RGB baselit build — it carries the heavy-duelling rating. Display collectors and cosplayers suit the Xenopixel V3 or SNV4 PRO Neopixel versions. The SE's Proffie 2.2 core is for the programmer — full custom sound font and blade control, Kylo Ren's crossguard made entirely your own.
