The Weapon Who Chose His Own End

Galen Marek was born on Kashyyyk to two Jedi Knights — a lineage he would never be allowed to know. When the Empire came and Darth Vader killed his father, the orphaned child was taken rather than left behind. Raised in secret, stripped of his history, and given only a codename, he became something the galaxy had no name for: a weapon that could wield the Force at Vader's direction, hidden from the Emperor himself.

Completing those missions brought him no closer to what he'd been promised. Betrayed once when the Emperor appeared and Vader turned on him, he still chose loyalty — and built a rebellion at his master's direction, persuading senators to stand against Sidious. Vader's answer was to have them arrested and leave Starkiller for dead. Every step had been engineered. He had never been an apprentice. He had always been a tool.

What he left behind proved harder to extinguish than any blade. Marek survived long enough to infiltrate the Death Star, free the senators, and die holding back the darkness so they could escape. His sacrifice gave the Rebel Alliance its founding moment — and his family's crest its symbol. The seven designs in this catalogue trace that arc across Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

He reclaimed his name at the end — Galen Marek, son of Jedi, martyr of a Rebellion he helped build.

Buyer’s guide

Which Starkiller lightsaber should I buy?

Silver or black hilt, baselit entry point or full Neopixel — these notes match each design to where Starkiller stood in the story, which Saber Core fits how you plan to use it, and whether you're building a display shelf or taking it to a duel.

Which hilt is which

The Starkiller Lightsaber and Starkiller Kyber Crystal Lightsaber both appear across Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and its sequel, covering his full arc. The V2 is drawn from the first game only; the V3 from the sequel. The SE and Weathered variants reflect different states of the same journey — one battle-sharp, one carrying the marks of it.

Which Saber Core

All seven designs are available with at least one Neopixel core — Xenopixel V3, SNV4 PRO, or Proffie 2.2 — lighting the full blade length with smooth swing for display and light duelling. S-RGB and RGB-X Baselit cores are the heavy-duelling choice, built for harder contact at a lower price point. Proffie 2.2 opens the board to full custom programming if you want to build your own sound profile from the ground up.

Which suits you

Baselit suits the dueller who wants Starkiller's hilt in hand for hard contact. Neopixel — SNV4 PRO or Xenopixel V3 — is the choice for display or cosplay, where a full-length illuminated blade does justice to the design. Proffie 2.2 is for the collector who wants to write their own sound profile, building Starkiller's voice from scratch.
