Three Mace Windu designs from one era
A Warrior Shaped by Devotion and Doubt
Born into the Force and shaped by a lifetime of devotion to the Jedi Order, Mace Windu rose to become one of the most formidable Masters the Order had ever produced — elected Master of the Order, appointed to the High Council, and trusted enough to serve as an advisor to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine himself, despite his own distaste for politics.
The turning point came when his long-held suspicion of Chancellor Palpatine crystallised into certainty. Windu moved to arrest Sidious alongside three fellow Masters — and watched them fall one by one. He bested Sidious alone. What followed was not a failure of strength or skill: Anakin Skywalker's intervention, in that final instant, decided everything.
What the catalogue holds reflects where Windu stood at the height of his power and at its end — the Council elder who also led the 187th Legion into battle, the political reluctant who sat at Palpatine's side, and the one Master who bested a Sith Lord in single combat before Anakin's choice took everything from him. Three designs. One arc.
His death didn't end the Order — it handed Sidious the moment he'd been waiting for.
Which Mace Windu lightsaber should I buy?
Each design suits a different kind of Windu fan — hilt finish, Saber Core tier, and intended use are the deciding factors.
Which hilt is which
The Mace Windu SE and the standard Mace Windu share the same gold-and-silver hilt lineage — both appear across Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, and The Clone Wars. The third design adds a black finish option, distinguishing it visually for collectors who want a starker colourway on the same iconic straight-hilt profile.
Which Saber Core
S-RGB and RGB-X are the baselit cores — built for heavy duelling, lower price point. Xenopixel V3 and SNV4 PRO are neopixel cores, lighting the full blade for that unmistakable amethyst column; rated for light duelling and display. Proffie 2.2 is also neopixel, adding open-source programmability — every sound font and effect fully editable.
Which suits you
Baselit suits the dueller who wants Windu's hilt in hand for heavy combat without compromise. Neopixel — Xenopixel V3 or SNV4 PRO — suits the cosplayer or display collector who wants the full-blade amethyst effect and smooth swing. Proffie 2.2 is for the builder-collector: open-source, fully programmable, every font and effect yours to shape.
