One Grand Inquisitor design from one era
The Hunter Who Chose the Fall
Before the fall, he was a Jedi Knight — and before that, one of the silent, masked guardians who stood watch over the Jedi Temple itself. During the Clone Wars, he played a key role in the investigation into the Temple hangar bombing, arresting Ahsoka Tano on suspicion and later bringing the true culprit, Barriss Offee, to justice. A student of the Jedi Archives, he knew the fighting styles of nearly every Knight in the Order.
Chosen personally by Emperor Sidious after the fall of the Jedi Order, he was remade — not as a Knight, but as a weapon. As Grand Inquisitor, he stood at the head of the Inquisitorius, answerable only to Darth Vader, and tasked with hunting down every Jedi who had survived the Purge.
He hunted across the galaxy — Stygeon Prime, Fort Anaxes, Mustafar — pressing Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger at every turn, until Kanan bested him in a duel that left him nowhere to go. He chose to fall rather than face Vader's judgement. The design on this page belongs to the Reign of the Empire era.
A Jedi who once guarded the Order's heart — undone, in the end, by the very shadow he served.
Which Grand Inquisitor lightsaber should I buy?
One double-bladed design, available in Baselit or Neopixel — the Baselit suits the duellist, the Neopixel suits the collector who wants every detail lit.
Which hilt is which
The Grand Inquisitor's hilt is double-bladed — a spinning, twin-bladed design distinctive to the Inquisitorius and seen throughout Star Wars Rebels. It is the only design on this page.
Which Saber Core
RGB-X is the Baselit core — built for heavy duelling, with a solid, bright blade and a lower price point. Xenopixel V3 is the Neopixel core, lighting the full blade from tip to hilt, adding smooth swing and the advanced effects the Grand Inquisitor's spinning double-bladed hilt deserves — rated for light duelling and display.
Which suits you
Heavy duelling calls for RGB-X — the Baselit core takes the hits the Grand Inquisitor's opponents never saw coming. Cosplay or display favours Xenopixel V3, where the full neopixel blade and 34 sound fonts do justice to every spinning flourish. Proffie is not available on this design; programmers after deep customisation should explore the wider catalogue.
