Character Bio · Nightbrother of Dathomir

Born a Nightbrother, Remade by Dark Magic

Affiliation Sith / Shadow Collective
Homeworld Dathomir

Born on Dathomir as a son of Mother Talzin, Savage Opress grew up a Nightbrother — Force-sensitive, bound to clan and blood, marked by the kind of quiet strength that rarely draws attention until it is tested. What set him apart in those early years was loyalty: when Darth Sidious came for young Maul, it was Savage who pleaded with his brother not to go, sensing that something was wrong.

The turning point was the Selection. Asajj Ventress chose Opress from among the Nightbrothers after trials designed to break lesser men — and then Mother Talzin's magic did the rest, remaking him into something larger, stronger, and hollowed of who he had been. To prove his loyalty to Ventress, he killed his own brother Feral. That act set the course: Dooku's enforcer, Ventress's instrument, a weapon passed between masters until he found the only one he would have chosen himself.

After Dathomir, Savage found Maul abandoned on Lotho Minor and brought him back — Mother Talzin restored his brother's mind and body. What followed was the arc those early years of loyalty had always pointed toward: the two brothers joined forces against Obi-Wan Kenobi, built the Shadow Collective alongside Death Watch, and seized Mandalore. Savage died there, killed by Darth Sidious, the Nightsister magic leaving him as it did.

He died as he had begun — a Nightbrother, the magic gone, apologising to Maul.

Buyer’s guide

Which Savage Opress lightsaber should I buy?

One double-bladed hilt, two Saber Cores — Xenopixel V3 for collectors who want full neopixel blade control, RGB-X for heavy duelists who'd rather fight than display.

Which hilt is which

The single design on this page is the double-bladed hilt Savage Opress carries throughout The Clone Wars — the weapon he wields from his time as Dooku's enforcer through to the Shadow Collective's siege of Mandalore.

Which Saber Core

RGB-X is the baselit choice — a Saber Core built for heavy duelling, where durability matters more than blade effect. Xenopixel V3 is the neopixel tier: the full blade illuminates end to end, smooth swing is active, and the 34 pre-installed sound fonts give you far more to work with — suited to light duelling and display.

Which suits you

Duellists who want to swing hard without worrying about the blade should go RGB-X — it's built for it. Cosplayers and display collectors will find the Xenopixel V3's full neopixel blade and 34 sound fonts a far better match for the character. Proffie programmability isn't available on this hilt.
