The Story

The Type-C Proffie 2.2 Kit is a precision-engineered, all-in-one core system for advanced lightsaber builders and duelling enthusiasts. Measuring 18cm in length and 25mm in diameter, it is perfectly sized to fit S-RGB, SNV4 PRO, and Proffie 2.2 non-replica budget hilts, where the power button is visible and housed in a round cutout. This pre-built unit is designed to offer the maximum degree of control, personalisation, and performance for Neopixel sabers built on the open-source Proffieboard ecosystem.

Equipped with the powerful Proffie 2.2 board, this kit supports full blade animation control, custom sound font profiles, responsive motion gestures, and cinematic lighting effects. Users can configure blade ignition/retraction styles, clash flashes, smooth swings, blaster blocks, and tip drags using highly flexible .ino and .h code via Arduino. The kit also includes a high-quality speaker, USB Type-C charging and data port, pre-installed tactile switch, and secure wired connections—all packed into a durable chassis for reliable daily use. Whether for cosplay, choreography, or competitive duelling, this kit delivers a fully customised experience that Proffie users demand.

Installation is streamlined: slide the kit into any compatible hilt, connect your pixel blade, and upload your personal config. With support for complex blade styles, multi-blade setups, and gesture-only activation, it’s ideal for those seeking total control over their saber’s sound and light performance. From newcomers experimenting with preloaded presets to experts crafting code from scratch, the Type-C Proffie 2.2 Kit is the definitive platform for high-end pixel saber builds.

Start with what you are going to do with it. If it is going to be fought with, look at baselit — the blade is a plain tube lit from the base, so there is less inside it to break, and nearly every baselit hilt here is rated for heavy duelling. If you want the blade to behave the way it does on screen, look at neopixel: a lit strip runs its whole length, so it ignites from the hilt up and flares where it is struck. That strip is also why neopixel hilts are rated for lighter contact. Proffie is neopixel with the software opened up, for anyone who would rather write their own effects than choose from a menu.
