History

Before becoming the Sith Lord known as Darth Tyranus, Count Dooku was a respected Jedi Master and the mentor of Qui-Gon Jinn. Dooku constructed this unique lightsaber during his time with the Jedi Order, opting for a curved hilt to complement his mastery of Form II lightsaber combat, also known as Makashi—a style that emphasises precision and finesse in duelling.

The weapon originally emitted a blue blade, symbolising his alignment with the Jedi. Dooku wielded this lightsaber throughout his service to the Order, participating in numerous missions and honing his formidable duelling skills. His departure from the Jedi Order marked the end of this weapon's use, as he later constructed a new lightsaber with a red blade upon embracing the dark side.
