The Story

The Youngling Battle Lightsaber is a budget-friendly yet durable design, perfect for beginners and duelists seeking a lightweight and reliable weapon. Crafted from high-quality aluminium alloy, this hilt is available in five striking colour variations: black, gold, silver, blue, and red. Its simple yet effective design features a smooth grip with subtle ridges for enhanced handling, making it ideal for training and fast-paced manoeuvres. The streamlined emitter ensures a balanced structure, allowing for comfortable and controlled combat.

Equipped with Xenopixel V3 electronics, this lightsaber features a Neopixel blade capable of displaying a full spectrum of customisable colours. It comes preloaded with 34 immersive sound fonts, smooth swing motion detection, flash-on-clash effects, multiple ignition and blade styles, gesture controls, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for extended use. The Bluetooth connectivity allows for easy customisation via the “XenoConfigurator” app, available on iOS and Android.

History

The Youngling Battle Lightsaber is designed as an entry-level weapon for those beginning their lightsaber journey. While it does not follow the lineage of any specific Jedi or Sith, it is inspired by the training sabers used by younglings in the Jedi Temple. These simple yet effective weapons helped initiate Force-sensitive children into the art of lightsaber combat, teaching them the foundations of precision, discipline, and defence.

Ideal for sparring, choreography, or personal practice, this lightsaber is built for those who want a high-quality duelling experience at an affordable price. Whether wielded by aspiring duelists or experienced fighters looking for a lightweight alternative, the Youngling Battle Lightsaber is a versatile and dependable choice.

Start with what you are going to do with it. If it is going to be fought with, look at baselit — the blade is a plain tube lit from the base, so there is less inside it to break, and nearly every baselit hilt here is rated for heavy duelling. If you want the blade to behave the way it does on screen, look at neopixel: a lit strip runs its whole length, so it ignites from the hilt up and flares where it is struck. That strip is also why neopixel hilts are rated for lighter contact. Proffie is neopixel with the software opened up, for anyone who would rather write their own effects than choose from a menu.
