The Grand Inquisitor Lightsaber is a replica model inspired by the weapon wielded by the feared leader of the Inquisitorius in Star Wars lore. This double-bladed spinning lightsaber features a distinctive circular hilt design, embodying the dark and relentless nature of the Inquisitors tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi.
Equipped with Xenopixel V3 electronics, this lightsaber features a Neopixel blade, designed for showcase and light duelling, but never for heavy duelling. It offers a full spectrum of customisable colours and comes preloaded with 34 immersive sound fonts, ensuring an authentic and dynamic experience. Additional features include smooth swing motion detection, flash-on-clash effects, multiple ignition and blade styles, gesture controls, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for extended use. The Bluetooth connectivity allows for easy customisation via the “XenoConfigurator” app, available on iOS and Android.
History
The Grand Inquisitor, once a Jedi Temple Guard, succumbed to the dark side and became the ruthless leader of the Inquisitorius under Darth Vader. His double-bladed spinning lightsaber was designed to intimidate and overwhelm opponents, allowing for both traditional and highly aggressive combat styles. The circular hilt mechanism enabled rapid spinning attacks, making it one of the most unique and formidable Sith weapons.
Throughout his pursuit of Jedi survivors, particularly in Star Wars: Rebels, the Grand Inquisitor’s lightsaber became a symbol of fear and oppression. Though his fate was ultimately sealed, his legacy endured, with his weapon continuing to serve as an iconic piece of Star Wars history.
