Two Mara Jade-Skywalker designs from one era
From the Emperor's Shadow to the Jedi Council
Force-sensitive from birth, she was taken young and shaped entirely to one purpose — to serve Emperor Palpatine as his most covert instrument. Trained across disciplines, lethal without hesitation, she operated beyond rank or record as an Emperor's Hand: invisible to the chain of command, answerable only to Palpatine himself.
Palpatine's death broke the chain. His final command — kill Luke Skywalker — died with him unfinished, and rather than serve an Empire in collapse, she walked away from everything she had been built to be. That refusal was the hinge her whole life turned on: within years she was running cargo for Talon Karrde, her Imperial precision quietly repurposed, her loyalties finally her own.
Working alongside Luke Skywalker during Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaigns shifted the trajectory she had set for herself. Grudging respect became partnership, partnership became love, and by 19 ABY she had married Luke and taken the Skywalker name. The two designs on this page belong to that Legends arc — the New Jedi Order years in which she rose to the Jedi High Council and took Jaina Solo as her apprentice.
Assassin, smuggler, Knight, Master — her arc remains unmatched in the Expanded Universe.
Which Mara Jade-Skywalker lightsaber should I buy?
Silver hilt or silver-and-black, baselit entry point or full Neopixel build — these two designs cover every kind of Mara Jade-Skywalker fan, from first-time buyer to serious collector.
Which hilt is which
The first design — a silver hilt — appears across Mara Jade-Skywalker's Legends arc. The second comes in silver or a silver-and-black finish, offering a darker take on the same era.
Which Saber Core
One design runs across all three tiers — S-RGB for heavy duelling, SNV4 PRO Neopixel for display, and Proffie 2.2 for those who want full programmability over every sound and effect. The second design offers two tiers: RGB-X for heavy contact or Xenopixel V3 for a full-blade Neopixel build. Baselit cores light the blade from the hilt; Neopixel cores illuminate the whole blade length.
Which suits you
Baselit suits the fan who wants to duel hard without hesitation — S-RGB and RGB-X are built for heavy contact. Neopixel (Xenopixel V3 or SNV4 PRO) fits the display collector or cosplayer who wants a full-blade light show. Proffie 2.2 is for the hands-on enthusiast who wants to program every sound and effect themselves.
