One Professor Huyang design from one era
A Thousand Generations of the Gathering
Long before the Clone Wars, before the Republic itself had taken its final form, Huyang was already at work. Built over 25,000 years ago as a Mark IV architect droid, he served the Jedi Order from his post aboard the Crucible — guiding each new generation of younglings through the Gathering and the construction of their first lightsaber. Yoda sat in his class. So did Mace Windu.
That routine ended abruptly during the Clone Wars. While escorting Padawan Ahsoka Tano and a group of younglings back from Ilum — their kyber crystals gathered, their first hilts half-built — the Crucible was boarded by Hondo Ohnaka's pirates, hunting those same crystals. Huyang was shot in the fight, losing his head and both arms. He fought on anyway, and took down a pirate unarmed.
He survived, and that resilience carried him forward. In the years that followed — through the rise and fall of the Empire and beyond — Huyang endured. He surfaces again in the Ahsoka era, still at work, still present, joining Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren in their search for Grand Admiral Thrawn. The single design on this page belongs to that long arc.
Older than the Republic, outlasting empires — Huyang's record has no equal in the history of the Order.
Which Professor Huyang lightsaber should I buy?
One hilt, two Saber Cores — the Xenopixel V3 for collectors who want 34 sound fonts and full Bluetooth control, the RGB-X for duelists who keep it simple; both suit the fan drawn to the Order's quiet architects.
Which hilt is which
One design, rooted in the Ahsoka series — the white hilt Huyang carries in the era after the Empire's fall, as he travels alongside Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren.
Which Saber Core
RGB-X is the baselit core — a heavy-duelling build at the lower price point, with 16 sound fonts and no blade strip to worry about in contact sparring. Xenopixel V3 lights the full blade from tip to hilt, unlocks smooth swing and Bluetooth connectivity, and comes loaded with 34 sound fonts — the choice for display and light duelling.
Which suits you
Heavy duelists who want full-contact sparring sessions should reach for the RGB-X — its baselit blade is built for it. Display collectors and cosplayers will find the Xenopixel V3 a better fit, with a full neopixel blade that looks the part in any setting. If programming sound fonts and Bluetooth profiles is your thing, the Xenopixel V3 is the one to configure.
