The Old Republic era stretches back thousands of years before the events of the Skywalker Saga — a golden and brutal age when the Jedi Order and the Sith Empire clashed across the galaxy in wars that defined the very nature of the Force itself. The hilts that survive from this period carry that weight. Heavier in proportion, raw in their geometry, they speak to a time when lightsaber craft was still evolving — angular guards, thick emitters, worn alloy finishes that suggest blades carried through campaigns rather than ceremonies. Where the Prequel era refined the saber into something almost elegant, the Old Republic forged tools of survival, built by warriors who expected to use them.

Choosing within the era.
Which characters carry the most choice
Darth Revan carries by far the deepest run in this era, with a Jedi hilt and a Sith hilt built across several finishes — V2 in silver, grey, black and weathered, and V3 in silver and black. Satele Shan sits alongside with a single hilt, a double-bladed hilt and a weathered double-bladed hilt, while Bastila Shan carries her own double-bladed design. Between the two of them, the Shan line is where this era's double-bladed fans tend to land, and Revan's run is where the choice really opens up.
The hilt shapes this era gave the catalogue
This era's catalogue is built from a handful of distinct shapes rather than one house style. Bastila Shan and Satele Shan both carry double-bladed hilts, Revan's hilts split into separate Jedi and Sith forms rather than one design doing double duty, and Darth Malgus is represented by a battle-damaged hilt that wears its history openly. Taken together, these shapes mark the Old Republic out as its own design language within the catalogue.
Display or duel
Every design from this era comes as a Neopixel build — SNV4 PRO, Proffie 2.2 or Xenopixel V3 — with the blade lit along its length, suited to display and to light duelling. Most of these hilts also come as a baselit duelling build, in S-RGB or RGB-X, made for contact rather than show. The Saber Core guide below sets out what separates them in full, for anyone weighing display against the duelling spec.

Legends is a continuity, not a period. These hilts come from stories told outside the timeline above, so there is no era to slot them into and no date range to give them. They are here because the blades are real, not because they fit the chronology.
